luxury retail food hospitality management - commercial procurement operations projects

HISTORY

In April 1994, our founder arrives into the UK, where he starts a job serving loose teas and coffees over the counter at the Harrods Food Hall, in Knightsbridge. The job was demanding and exciting and rapidly gained further responsibility year on year to become Senior Buyer/Manager managing a team of over 45 members of staff across 12 product categories within grocery, tea & coffee, confectionery, cakes, pastry, and bakery. The job also involved working alongside other product categories that included wines & spirits, charcuterie, cheese, fruit & vegetables and other departments such as production kitchens, hampers, wholesale, online and airport shops.

From there, in 2006 was invited to work with Fenwick family to redevelop the Fenwick Food Hall In Newcastle. Worked alongside Lady Bamford in Daylesford, helping developing own label products and the expansion of 5 shops/cafes in London.

In 2009, R M DE SOUSA was born as a company and its first project was to set up a 238 cover restaurant, tapas, bakery cafe in Baker Street. We have worked alongside Trevor and Ferguson redeveloping St John Bakery in Maltby Street. Successfully bid to set up a unique Food Hall in Saint Petersburg, Russia - the Kupetz Eliseevs Magazin. Redeveloped a Raw Food Yoga Studio concept in Kensington and most recently we've redeveloped a restaurant concept in Maputo, Mozambique.
